Originally the location was Kathy’s, a good breakfast place which had the best corned beef hash in town. For a while it was Pickles, then Señor Pickles, and I never went into either place.
This place is the real thing: it’s much better than the other Korean restarant that was open years ago where Swaddee Thai currently is (nobody ever went to it). I had the sizzling stone pot with mixed veggies, tofu, rice, egg, and sprouts, and it was delicious. The menu has changed, and I never got a chance to try the spicy squid which is now gone, but other good dishes are available. This last time I was there, a busload of Korean tourists arrived, and they definitely seemed to enjoy the place [most of them ordered sizzling stone pots].
One of the very best Korean restaurants I’ve been to was in Honolulu: everyone ordered a dish or two and shared it. There was also a good Korean place in Honolulu where you cooked your food over a flame in the middle of the table. This place doesn't have grills at the tables, but I'm still pretty happy with it.
