Las Gorditas Mexican Food
Excellent carnitas, and the Mexican combo varies from decent to lovely.
Recently, I finally tried the gorditas, which were very good. But my
favorite dish by far is the fish soup: that's about the only thing I
ever get anymore. Give yourself a real treat and try it! They now have
posole, and it's very good, though not quite as good as the posole at
Tacos Los Altos. The salsa bar is decent. This is a friendly,
family-run place, and the service is quite good. No complaints at all.
They used to have cheesy old Red Lobster booths, but they replaced their
furniture, and it looks pretty good.
The location used to be Manzanita's, which featured homemade tortillas.
I think I may have eaten there once, before they moved downtown and
subsequently vanished.
