I’m not normally into upscale, trendy venues, but this place uses local ingredients and follows sustainable practices whenever possible. Also, they have the only paella in town that I know of. I really need to learn to make that dish myself, however: this is just the sort of recipe that I would enjoy playing with.
They’re owned by the same people who own Brix and Proper. I haven’t been to Brix since it was located where Himalayan Grill currently is, but the quail was very good at the time.
This location used to be Cafe Espress, and I ate there a few times in the 1990s. I thought the menu was OK, and featured a number of decent veggie dishes. A friend of mine hated it and called it "Cafe Third World" even though he wasn’t really a redneck type.
