Bun Huggers

Best patty melt in town: some places have more meat, but not more flavor. The chili is good, and doesn't taste like it came out of a can. The fried mushrooms are a treat, even if they are frozen. Avoid the steak sandwich, however: it's served on an itty-bitty hot dog bun that falls apart on the first bite.

Although the main restaurant is walk up service, there's a bar in the adjacent section, and you can sit there and order food. Were I more of a happy hour person, I'd do that more often.

There used to be a Bun Huggers on the east side of town, in Kachina Square on Steves Blvd, but I don't remember ever eating there.
